Following the extension of the Medliner service into Veracruz, Spliethoff further adds to the range by including the port of Sagunto in Spain. Medliner, Spliethoff’s regular liner service from the Mediterranean to the America's, can build on more than three years of experience.
Port calls are scheduled during the early part of each month with the first performing vessel Mv Scheldegracht planned on the 5th of June 2017.
Commercial Agent in Spain for the Medliner activity is Messrs Weco Agencia Maritima S.A.
Pieter Flohil, head of Medliner Spliethoff, comments, “Weco is a name that brings a great deal of experience, reliability and above all a real ‘liner mentality’ to the table and will form a valuable extension to Spliethoff’s existing operation in Spain.”
“We are very proud to become part of this project,” says Paco Rivero of Weco, “Spliethoff’s ‘Medliner’ offers strong reliability and flexibility in a highly competitive market, Spliethoff’s modern and versatile fleet proves to be ideal to meet the Spanish market's needs.”
